This blog is about life with my husband who was diagnosed with Early Onset Alzheimer's and Frontal Lobe Dementia in 2008. He was 64 at the time although now, knowing more about the disease, Alzheimer's was present many, many years ago, which is why early detection is so important. As you read the blog the character "Al" that I created in 2008, represents the way that Alzheimer's is invading our daily lives.
There is an archive tab further down the page that starts from the beginning of our journey.

Living with Bob and "Al"

Sheri was thinking back to the things that attracted her to Bob when they met. He was the strong silent type. Always confident that he knew what to do and how to do it. Yet under that strong exterior was a sweet gentle spirit who was shy and cared deeply about others. Sheri is realizing how much she longs to feel a piece of that gentle spirit.
1Peter 3:4 Rather, it should be that of your inner self, the unfading beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is of great worth in God’s sight.
