This blog is about life with my husband who was diagnosed with Early Onset Alzheimer's and Frontal Lobe Dementia in 2008. He was 64 at the time although now, knowing more about the disease, Alzheimer's was present many, many years ago, which is why early detection is so important. As you read the blog the character "Al" that I created in 2008, represents the way that Alzheimer's is invading our daily lives.
There is an archive tab further down the page that starts from the beginning of our journey.

Living with Bob and "Al"

Sheri looks at Bob and sees the man she married, fathered her children and spent 28 years of her life with. Then "Al" emerges and when he speaks... Bob disappears into the shadow of Alzheimer's.

  1. I know these days will come, for now I am determined to make the most of every opportunity with my dad. Any phone call, I jot in my journal thanking God for another time he's able to converse, even though it's gradually changing. I appreciate you, Sheri. Ps 118:24
